We visited Panhala in summer vacation of 2007. This was second time, Gauri and myself were visiting Panhala. The first time we went there was way back in June 1995. Then it was occasion of our first wedding anniversary. This Shivaji Maharaj’s fort was enchanting/fascinating for us in both our visits. This time we stayed at Kawade’s – Tourist Inn hotel. It was pretty decent place to stay on Panhala top. In this visit, we also visited Jyotiba and Kolhapur. While Panhala was best, Kolhapur visit was okay but we would definitely avoid Jyotiba in our future visits to this region.
